The balance between the bright amplified orange, with its semi-lustrous finish and beautiful full, creamy coverage looks incredible against darker skin.
The color looks lighter on dark skin than on other skin tones, giving Spirit a bit of levity on darker skin. In case MUFE isn’t your cup of tea, check out the other Beauty in a Box kits currently being sold at Sephora. The softer nudes with the right amount of brown look great on darker skin. Get it, try it out, if you don’t love em, take it back…it’s that simple. My in-depth review of my fave MUFE products is forthcoming, but let me just say that my aqua creams are getting so much attention that my paint pots are feeling neglected.Īlso, the colors in this kit are great for all skin tones. This kit is a $124 value and is being sold for $69!!! I have personally used and love both the aqua creams and the aqua eyes liners and can say that this set it worth it for those products alone!! They last forever, don’t crease, don’t budge, and have amazing pigmentation.
– 1 Full Size Aqua Lip liner in Nude Beige 1C (light neutral beige) – 1 Full Size Aqua Smoky Lash macara in Extra Black – 2 Full Size Aqua Eyes liners in Mat Black 0L (black) and Dark Grey 21L (dark metallic grey) – 2 Full Size Aqua Creams in 13 Warm Beige (champagne shimmer) and 15 Taupe (taupe brown shimmer) It is a Beauty in a Box kit containing 8 fabulous products: I prefer this method to buying half lashes because you are going to pay the same amount for the half lash so why not create your own half lashes and get 2 sets of half lashes for the price of 1?! The edge that has the longer lashes should be positioned on the outer edge of the eye. Since the emphasis is on the winged liner, instead of using a full strip of lashes on each eye, use a full lash like the MAC 21, cut one strip in half, and use half on one eye and half on the other. If you are bold enough and are attending a special occasion, try applying false lashes.Curl the lashes and apply your favorite mascara. That way, if you mess up, you can remove the liner and redo it without messing up your other makeup. If you are new to the winged liner look, do your liner first and then do the rest of the eye and face makeup. This cat eye look is what makes this look. Use a liquid liner, gel liner, or a pen style liner in black to apply a clean line on the upper lid and winging out the liner about 1/4 of an inch out.The emphasis on the eye should be on the liner not the shadow. Blend this well using a fluffy blending brush so the crease is only subtly defined. I like MAC’s Swiss Chocolate for light-medium skin tones and MAC’s Embark for dark skin tones. Apply a mid-dark brown eyeshadow in the crease.Apply an eyeshadow all over the lid in a shade that matches your skin tone.I like the MAC Paint Pots (Painterly and Groundwork are most common for medium to darker skin tones). Apply an eye primer all over the lid and brow bone area in a shade that is similar to your skin tone.Use a thin angled brush like the MAC 166 and follow the natural arch of your brow to fill in any bare areas and create a strong brow that will frame your eyes. Fill in brows using an eyeshadow that is close to your natural hair color.Use a bronzer that is just 1-2 shades darker than your skin tone. Since the skin is very 1-dimensional in this look, there is no need for much blush, but in order to add a little color and contour, apply a bronzer to the hollows of the cheeks using a brush like the MAC 187 which will ensure a light application.Ensure the powder is applied under the eyes to set the under eye concealer. Apply a translucent powder like MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder to set the face makeup.Conceal any problem areas like under the eyes or spots using a creamy color like the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. With whatever foundation is left on the sponge after applying foundation to the face, run the sponge over the eyes to even out the skin tone and create a base for your eye makeup.I would use the Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation because it provides great coverage, can be layered if you have scars or redness that needs to be covered, and photographs amazingly. Using a damp sponge, apply a medium coverage liquid foundation all over the face and next.
